The CAI/Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge, now in its 33rd year, is a 3 day event that helps raise urgently needed dollars to provide services for children and adults with disabilities - services like: children's therapy (physical, speech and occupational therapies), day programs for adults with physical disabilities or cognitive disabilities, assistive technology services, year-round camping at Camp Fairlee Manor and respite services for caregivers.
Each year over 200 volunteers, nearly 100 companies, over 175 teams, and corporate sponsors come together for this exciting event. They join in on the camaraderie, excitement, and pride that goes hand in hand with helping us reach our goal of providing exceptional services to people living with disabilities.
Since 2001, the Volleyball Challenge has raised over $3.5 million for Easter Seals, and in 2013 we raised more than $359,000!
One of our featured matches, now in its 9th year, is the highly competitive “Democrats v. Republicans Volleyball Challenge” where the political parties unite to raise awareness and dollars for Easter Seals’ mission of serving people with disabilities in their community. The Republicans are up by 5 to 3.
